“Question everything. Trust no one. Except me, bro.”
Full biography
Uncle Bro is the mascot, publisher, spiritual leader, and self-proclaimed defender of freedom behind **Trust-Me-Bro.us** — a man who believes journalism should be fearless, patriotic, loud, and preferably accompanied by an American flag.
Little is known about Uncle Bro’s early life, largely because every time he tells the story, the details change. Depending on the day, he claims to have been raised in a small American town, inside a newsroom, or “somewhere between the Constitution and a roadside barbecue.” No official records have confirmed any of these accounts, which Uncle Bro considers proof that the system is working against him.
After becoming increasingly frustrated with newspapers using phrases such as “according to evidence,” “independent verification,” and “please provide a source,” Uncle Bro decided that America needed a different kind of news organization. His solution was **Trust-Me-Bro.us**.
As publisher, Uncle Bro oversees the website with unwavering confidence and a highly flexible interpretation of editorial supervision. He considers himself personally responsible for defending free speech, questioning authority, protecting common sense, and making sure no perfectly good headline is ruined by unnecessary context.
His political philosophy is deliberately difficult to define. Uncle Bro distrusts politicians, bureaucrats, corporations, experts, commentators, committees, polls, algorithms, and occasionally his own editorial staff. He insists that skepticism should never depend on which political party happens to be in power.
Despite his patriotic appearance, Uncle Bro does not officially belong to any political party. He maintains that politicians of every persuasion deserve equal access to one of America’s oldest democratic traditions: being publicly mocked.
Within the Trust-Me-Bro newsroom, Uncle Bro serves as publisher, mascot, occasional commentator, and final authority on matters he has just learned about. He frequently reminds his staff to “ask the difficult questions,” although nobody has successfully determined what qualifies as a difficult question.
He works closely with Florida Frank, Captain Freedom, and Dr. Cynthia Source, forming an editorial team united by one fundamental principle: when the world becomes ridiculous, the news should be allowed to notice.
Uncle Bro can usually be recognized by his stars-and-stripes top hat, aviator sunglasses, red bow tie, suspiciously confident smile, and habit of pointing directly at anyone who appears insufficiently skeptical.
Whether confronting political absurdity, media hysteria, cultural nonsense, questionable experts, or the latest national controversy, Uncle Bro approaches every story with the same unwavering conviction:
America deserves the truth.
And when the truth is temporarily unavailable, somebody will probably tell him something.
