SausageGoat Appointed Federal Director of Animal-Based Intelligence
The mysterious laboratory escapee has received security clearance, a government badge and unlimited access to classified snacks.

WASHINGTON — SausageGoat, the unexplained laboratory escapee and current Trust-Me-Bro.us Animal Affairs Correspondent, has been appointed the nation’s first Federal Director of Animal-Based Intelligence.
The new office will monitor suspicious wildlife activity, unexplained livestock movements and any bird that appears to know more than it should. Officials said SausageGoat was selected after a competitive process involving background checks, security interviews and a bowl of government-certified pellets.
Four Legs, Maximum Clearance
SausageGoat received a laminated badge, a tiny earpiece and clearance to enter classified grazing areas. His first briefing reportedly lasted seven minutes before he ate the corner of a national security map. Analysts described the incident as an unconventional but decisive review of the evidence.
Captain Freedom called the appointment a victory for equal opportunity and insisted his adopted companion was “one hundred percent American, regardless of laboratory, species or possible planet of origin.” The Department of Agriculture declined to classify that statement.
Four legs. Zero sources. Maximum clearance.

The Intelligence Community Expands
The agency’s initial watch list includes unusually organized raccoons, coastal seagulls with knowledge of shipping schedules and a squirrel seen carrying what witnesses described as either an encrypted storage device or a very rectangular acorn.
Dr. Cynthia Source requested documentation proving SausageGoat’s qualifications. She received a heavily redacted veterinary record, three photographs of a fence and a note reading “PATRIOTIC ENOUGH.” Her investigation remains open.
SausageGoat has not issued a formal statement. He saluted, climbed onto a conference table and consumed part of the microphone cover. Federal officials interpreted the performance as a firm commitment to protecting America’s animals, secrets and strategically important snack reserves.
